Mentoring the Mentor Workshop

The Committee on Diversity Women's Initiative in partnership with the AAPA Executive Commitee-Professional Development sponsored a "Mentoring the Mentor" Training Workshop at the 2019 AAPA meetings in Cleveland. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Kelly Diggs-Andrews (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kellydiggsandrews), a professional consultant from the Center for Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER; https://cimerproject.org/). Twenty-five participants engaged in this interactive workshop, which covered four main themes:  aligning expectations, maintaining effective communication, cultivating ethical behavior and addressing equity and inclusion.
