The success of the AAPA annual meetings depends on student volunteers (both undergrad and grad) to insure that all aspects of the meeting run smoothly. In return you will have your registration fees waived, have the opportunity to meet new friends and colleagues, and become more closely involved with our great organization. Volunteer now!

BUT -- before you volunteer , please read the following guidelines carefully.

In order to participate in the AAPA Student Volunteer Program for the upcoming Annual Meeting, you must fulfill all of the following:

  • Be student member of AAPA for 2018.

  • Complete the application form in its entirety before the deadline March 1, 2018 failure to do so will make you ineligible for the Student Volunteer Program

  • Provide assistance to AAPA during the Annual Meeting or a task prior to the Annual Meeting.

If you are granted support by AAPA, your registration fee will be refunded AFTER your work assignment has been completed.

If you are granted support you are obligated to provide assistance agreed upon; failure to fulfill your obligation will cause immediate cancellation of your support and your registration WILL NOT be refunded.

All student support recipients who are working in sessions at the meeting are required to attend an orientation/training meeting Wednesday April 11 4:30-5 PM in the afternoon. (Plan to arrive in Austin, TX, by 3 pm.)

FAILURE TO ATTEND THIS MEETING WILL MAKE YOU INELIGIBLE FOR THE STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN REGISTRATION FEES.
