The Department of Anthropology at the University of Miami invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Biological Anthropology to begin in August 2025. Preference will be given to an anthropologist with research interests in forensics, primatology, and/or human evolution who will advance our departmental commitment to a robust four-field approach and interdisciplinarity. Geographical, theoretical, and research specialty areas are open and may include skeletal biology, evolutionary biology, DNA analysis, functional morphology, mass disaster identification, and human rights investigation. The successful applicant will have an established record of original research, funding, teaching, and publication, with a clear framework for continued progress in these areas. The candidate should demonstrate how undergraduate and graduate students would be engaged in those efforts. A Ph.D. in Anthropology or a related field must be in-hand by the position’s start date.
