Ph.D. Program Opportunity in Bioarcheology (Update)
The Department of Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (TAMUCOD), invites applications for a NSF-funded Graduate Program opportunity at Ph.D. student level to be supervised by Dr. Qian Wang. This NSF funded project is aimed to use a comparative method to reconstruct the health and mortality profile of a prehistoric settlement and to determine the cause of the destruction of this settlement. The deadline for graduate admission application is December 15, 2021. The position will begin from August 2022 with a possibility of an earlier admission. Preferably applicants possess a M.S. degree in bioarcheology or biological anthropology; however, excellent B.S. students will be considered too. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in human anatomy, osteology, paleopathology, evolutionary morphology, as well as biostatistics.
