Assistant/Associate Professor Biological Anthropology (Functional Morphology)
The Department of Anthropology at Texas A&M University invites applications for one Tenured Track/Tenured Assistant/Associate Professor in Biological Anthropology to begin September 1, 2020. This is a full-time, 9 month appointment. We are seeking someone with expertise related to evolutionary morphology, focused in particular on skeletal form and function. The ideal candidate will have an active research program that articulates well with the current interests of faculty including questions related to migration, health and nutrition, technology, and ecology. The candidate will teach a 2-2 course load including upper-level undergraduate and graduate level courses in their specialty.

About the department: The Anthropology Department is made up of 24 full-time tenure-track faculty. Along with Biological Anthropology we have programs in Nautical Archaeology, Terrestrial Archaeology, and Cultural Anthropology. Students and faculty in Biological Anthropology regularly collaborate with experts in the Health Sciences Center, College of Dentistry, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Science (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology/Genetics programs) and Department of Health and Kinesiology, among others.
