Assistant Professor of Medical Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology at Rollins College has an opportunity for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Medical Anthropology position beginning in August 2016.

We seek those whose area of research expertise is medical anthropology. Applicants with additional expertise in biological anthropology are welcome to apply. You must be committed to excellent undergraduate teaching, as well as to the liberal arts, and interested in maintaining an active program of research and publication.

The position requires teaching three courses per semester, and you must be able to teach courses on epidemiology, public health, and global health, among others. Applicants should also be willing to help build Rollins’ growing Global Health program.
We seek applicants who share our commitment to community engagement and who can integrate it into their teaching and scholarship and create field opportunities for students. While geographical area of specialization is open, applicants whose research interests are in Africa or Asia are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have PhD in hand by June 1, 2016. Teaching experience is preferred.
