Post-Doctoral Fellow in Bioethics Research
Geisinger Health System has an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral fellow in bioethics research. The fellow will work directly with the Associate Director and engage in empirical and interdisciplinary research. The pursuit of a focused or broad research agenda is possible. The fellow will be supported in professional development activities tailored to the individual’s career interests (e.g., writing manuscripts, preparing internal and external grant proposals, participating in professional conferences, attending lectures and seminars, networking, mentoring, and acquiring additional skills). This post-doctoral fellowship position has a flexible start date and offers a competitive stipend with generous benefits.
Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D. in anthropology, bioethics, human genetics, biomedical sciences, or closely related field; demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills; and are interested in one or more of the following topics:
– Ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) related to genetics/omics
– Personalized or precision medicine
– Learning health care systems
– Patient experience and patient engagement
– Community engagement
– Policy
