Anatomy Faculty Position (Open Rank) teaching Gross Anatomy with an emphasis on Neuroanatomy or Histology

The Proposed Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking to fill an open-ranked non-tenured faculty position in the Department of Anatomy. This position will include teaching graduate level medical gross anatomy, embryology, histology and neuroanatomy to medical students in the first two years of their medical training. In addition to experience teaching human cadaver dissection, the optimal candidate should have experience lecturing at the graduate-level anatomy and embryology with an emphasis in clinical practice, neuroanatomy and/or histology. This position will assist the Department Chair and colleagues in the planning, directing and implementation of college programs, policies and procedures, and assist in the development and teaching of curricula which integrates the different specialty areas in a team-based, large and small group learning environment. The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following: serving the academic mission of the Department in teaching medical students, performing scholarly activities, and service. In addition, other responsibilities may include student advising, student recruitment, retention and placement efforts.
