The Department of Anthropology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) invites applications for a Regular part-time (50%) faculty position to begin January 1, 2018. We seek faculty with expertise and experience in biological and /or forensic anthropology.
The courses associated with this position will be taught in the Spring (January-April) and Summer (May-August) semesters. The successful candidate will teach from among the following courses:
ANTH 1200 Biological Anthropology
ANTH 1217 Forensic Anthropology
ANTH 3502 Special Topics in Biological Anthropology

We are seeking individuals who meet the following qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have a Ph.D. or are nearing completion; however, applicants with an M.A. and extensive relevant and applicable experience will be considered. Applications should provide evidence of previous upper-level teaching experience in biological and/or forensic anthropology, and/or proposals for special topics courses in these areas. Preference will be given to candidates who can bring applied anthropology experience to the position.
A complete application includes current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of undergraduate teaching success, copies of sample course syllabi/outlines, sample of research/publication, copies of transcripts of all degrees, and a list of three professional referees able to comment on your teaching ability and academic accomplishments.
