Full Time Lecturer in Biological Anthropology

Full-Time Lecturer (prorated 41/45 workload) – 1 YR APPT (2018-2019) – Biological Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology and Museum Studies in the College of the Sciences at Central Washington University (CWU) invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time lecturer with benefits in Biological Anthropology for the 2018-2019 academic year. We seek a colleague with research and teaching experience in anthropological approaches to human biology and expertise in molecular anthropology.

We are particularly interested in candidates who (1) have demonstrated excellence in teaching; (2) are theoretically engaged; and (3) will help further collaboration in one or more of the programs associated with the department (Forensics, American Indian Studies, Cultural and Environmental Resource Management, Primate Behavior and Ecology, and Museum Studies).

The successful candidate will teach sections of Bones, Apes, and Genes: Exploring Biological Anthropology, Human Variation, and History and Theory of Molecular Anthropology. CWU is on the quarter system with 2018-2019 faculty appointments from mid-September through mid-June.

A Ph.D. in Anthropology is required, and should be in hand by July 15, 2018.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Anthropology by July 15, 2018. Research and teaching experience in anthropological approaches to human biology. Expertise in molecular anthropology.
