Postdoctoral Scholar in Water, Health, and Human Biology
The Department of Biobehavioral Health at The Pennsylvania State University (http://bbh.hhd.psu.edu/) is seeking applications for a postdoctoral scholar to join the Rosinger Lab investigating human variation in water needs, water insecurity, and the effects of water and dietary intake and hydration on risk of disease and malnutrition. Candidates for this position should have experience with fieldwork and quantitative data analysis, along with expertise in the field of human biology/biological anthropology, medical anthropology, nutrition, or epidemiology. Experience with statistical analysis of complex datasets is a plus. The postdoctoral scholar will spend some time in the field in Bolivia and/or Kenya. Experience with water quality analysis is not necessary but viewed positively. The anticipated start date for the position is as early as during Fall 2017, and as late as June 201 8. The initial contract will be for one year, with expectation of renewal for a second year based on satisfactory performance. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree or have completed all of the requirements for a Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
