Visiting Professor of Biological Anthropology

CALL FOR VISITING PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGICAL ANTHROPOLOGY IN THE GRADUATE PROGRAM IN ANTHROPOLOGY AT THE UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO PARÁ – PPGA/UFPA, BRAZIL

The Graduate Program in Anthropology of the Universidade Federal do Pará (PPGA/UFPA), Brazil, opens a position for Visiting Professor of Biological Anthropology. Candidates interested may send documentation between February 2 and March 30, 2018. This is a fulltime position with a 1 (one) year contract* renewable for equal period. Teaching activities start in August, 2018. The salary is compatible with that of “Professor Adjunto IA” of the Federal Institutions of Higher Education in Brazil.
*In the case of foreign candidate the duration of the contract is 2 (two) years, renewable for equal period.
Requirements:
1. Title of PhD or Doctor, obtained in Brazil or in a foreign institution, in the field of Biological Anthropology or related areas, obtained at 2 (two) or more years; 2. Curriculum Vitae inscribed in the Plataforma Lattes of CNPq; 3. Experience in teaching and research in the field of Biological Anthropology /Physical Anthropology/Human Biology.

1. Copy of identity card or passport; 2. Letter of presentation demonstrating academic affinity with the theme of the position; 3. Research project about the theme of the open position to be developed during the length of the contract; 4. Proof of titles indicated in the Curriculum Vitae/Lattes.
