Postdoctoral Fellow
The Department of Biological Sciences, University of Notre Dame, invites applications for a NSF-funded postdoctoral position to be supervised by Dr. Matt Ravosa. This position will focus on an animal model of daily feeding modality and the plasticity of craniomandibular development. This will involve microCT as well as mechanical tests of mandibular bending performance. The position will begin between June 1 to September 1, 2018 and will be for 2.5 years. Applicants must possess a PhD, or be nearly completed, in a scientific discipline that trains one to conduct research in biomechanics, functional morphology, ontogeny, evolutionary morphology, vertebrate paleontology, imaging, or bioanthropology. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in microCT data processing and analysis as well as those willing to participate in graduate and undergraduate research.
