Assistant Professor, Biological/Physical Anthropology
The Western Washington University Department of Anthropology seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Biological/Physical Anthropology.
The Department of Anthropology, in order to maintain its current level of excellence and continue to serve our students, the college, and the university with the highest level of teaching and scholarship, seeks to recruit a tenure track biological/physical anthropologist whose geographic focus open, and whose theoretical expertise includes the biological basis of human behavior and evolution. The ideal candidate will integrate human growth and development, and the continuum of health and disease (evolutionary biology and medicine), with a working knowledge of molecular anthropology or comparative primate osteology. Teaching duties include: Introductory Biological Anthropology, Basic Statistics, Osteology, Medical/Nutritional Anthropology, and specialized courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
