Assistant Professor of Anthropology
Assistant Professor of Anthropology, tenure-track position, to start in September 2020. Ph.D. in Anthropology required.
Teach seven courses per academic year (3-1-3), including regular delivery of Introduction to Anthropology and opportunities to take students abroad during the January term or summer. Specialization open within the subfields of archaeology or biological anthropology, with a strong preference for those with empirically oriented field research programs that encourage undergraduate participation. Candidates with teaching experience in a liberal arts setting and/or the ability to offer a culturally-focused introductory course for the Latin American Studies minor are also desirable.
Participation in an interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in the two-semester first-year program.
