Museum Specialist in Biological Anthropology
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History is hiring two permanent Museum Specialists to perform tasks associated with use, management, outreach, and physical care of biological anthropology collections in the Department of Anthropology. Ideal candidates will have some experience working directly with museum collections (cataloging, registration, preservation, data management), as well as familiarity with the history and contemporary ethics of museum collecting. In this position, you will work closely with repatriation and curatorial staff to support the return of human remains to their relatives and descendant communities.
