The College of Medicine, Department of Medical Education is recruiting for an Assistant Professor, Educator Track faculty position. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
The candidate is expected to have experience in cadaver dissection based anatomical instruction and neuroanatomy. Experience with teaching histology is desirable. In addition to participating in the teaching responsibilities of the department, other duties will include but are not limited to: acting as director of the anatomical prosection program, acting as manager of the Brain, Mind, and Behavior Laboratory, and oversight of the practical exams question database. Participation in educational research and/or scholarship is expected within the department.
Minimum qualifications include: an earned Ph. D. or M.D. degree from an accredited university, record of teaching experience in anatomical sciences, demonstrated or potential for successful independent scholarly activity.
Physical requirements: Frequent communications, verbal and/or written; frequent standing and/or sitting; visually, or otherwise, identify, observe, assess; using math/calculations.
