The Department of Anthropology of the University at Albany (SUNY) is seeking applications for a tenure track assistant professor in Physical/Biological Anthropology. Research area should focus on human biomechanics and/or work physiology. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate Human Biomechanics/Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology for a large and growing major in Health Sciences and Human Biology, as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate classes in Biological Anthropology. The position entails a competitive salary and start-up package.
Requirements: The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. Applicants must possess a significant record of scholarship and have demonstrated ability to develop an independent program of research as appropriate to rank. Applicants should discuss their potential for external funding. Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population.
