Postdoctoral Fellow Department of Anthropology, University of Missouri
The Department of Anthropology at the University of Missouri invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in evolutionary anthropology.
We are looking for candidates that can help develop Dr. Napoleon Chagnon’s long-term ethnographic field data with the Yanomamö into significant scholarly contributions and who can form linkages to other current faculty (anthropology.missouri.edu). This position will also help make the Yanomamö database publically available through the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. Preferred skills and interests include bioinformatics, statistics, and demography. Job duties include data management and analysis of large-scale, demographic databases. Candidates should have PhD in hand. The salary is $40,000 per year, benefit eligible. The terms of employment are negotiable with a start date of July 1, 2014.
