The Center for Functional Anatomy and Evolution at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine will be hiring a postdoc to teach human anatomy and contribute to the research profile of the center. The start date will be no earlier than July 1 and no later than August 15, 2025. The position has an initial one-year contract renewable for a second year, pending a successful evaluation. The salary will be commensurate with NIH standards. Major responsibilities will include:
• Teaching a 7-week dissection-based course in medical gross anatomy for medical and graduate students (August 21-October 8, 2025); 4-5 days a week; 3-4 hours a day
• Contributing to a 4-week prosection-based course for nursing students (probably May 18-June 12, 2026, but the dates have not been confirmed)
• Conducting research collaboratively with faculty and trainees in the center
Preference will be given to those who have experience teaching human gross anatomy, particularly those who’ve participated in lab instruction. We will consider candidates who have taken, but not taught anatomy if no one with teaching experience can be identified.
