contributions to the field of anthropology by mid-career anthropologists.

As composed by Jeffrey Laitman and recorded in the minutes from the 2017 Section H Business meeting: “Bob Sussman embodies the science and spirit of Anthropology. From fieldwork on lemurs to human biology to deconstructing the evils of race, his legacy of mentorship, caring, and dissemination of knowledge will be with us forever.”

Guidelines approved at the Section H Business Meeting, February 18, 2017.

There are currently no funds available to support any component of this award. However, the costs of producing the certificate (unframed) and shipping to the recipient, if necessary, will be covered by Section H funds. If Section H funds become available, we may be able to apply them toward defraying the awardee’s travel/meeting registration costs and/or honorarium in that particular year.
