British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology Annual Meeting

On behalf of the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology and Drs. Sarah Inskip and Anna Davies-Barrett at the University of Leicester, we are pleased to present the forthcoming BABAO Annual Meeting in Leicester, UK.
Dates for the conference are 18-20th September, with registration date closing soon (August 31 for in-person and September 14 for online, 12:00 PM BST). Running from 9:15 – 5:30 PM each day, the conference presents 35 papers ranging from commercial osteoarchaeology, to zooarchaeology, and paleopathology.
We have three keynote talks this year for your interest.
1. Building community through osteology: volunteering at the Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre – Ben Donnelly-Symes & Dale Munn, Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre
2. From bones to ancestors: Embodiment, structural violence, and social justice – Linda Mbeki
3. Where have all our skeletons gone? The legal, ethical and research imperatives for a centralised human remains database in the UK to manage legacy collections – Mary Lewis, University of Reading, et al.

Online registration (£25 for the full weekend) provides additional access to the digital posters as well as the workshop lecture on Transition Analysis 3 on Sept 18.
