Funding opportunity

The Society for the Study of Human Biology has opened a funding call for 3 small grants that may be of interest, particularly to our student and ECR members. There are 3 small grants available (the largest up to £1,500):

• Undergraduate Bursary: £800-1,000 to support undergraduate research projects (application via supervisor) during the summer vacation
• Postgraduate Student Travel Prize: Up to £1,000 to support postgraduate students in presenting their work at international meetings / conferences
• Research Grant: (£1,000-1,500) to support research relevant to the SSHB. Priority given to postgraduate students and those up to 3 years post PhD

The research project must fall within the remit of the SSHB: “the general advancement and promotion of research in the biology of human populations in all its branches, including human variability and genetics, human adaptability and ecology, and human evolution."
