Assistant Professor Position in Biological Anthropology, with specialty in Primatology
The department of Anthropology at the University of San Diego invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2018. We seek a Biological Anthropologist with a focus on primatology. Research specialty may include the behavior, evolutionary biology, and/or ecology of the non-human primates.
We seek applicants with an active research agenda, a record of scholarly publication, and experience in teaching anthropology courses. Responsibilities include: maintaining an active research program; department and college service; and teaching introductory courses in biological anthropology, upper level courses in primate behavior and ecology, and developing specialty courses within the candidate’s research area. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach a broad range of courses and who have the potential to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other units of the university. The successful candidate must hold a PhD at the time of appointment.
