We are looking for Postdoctoral Research Fellows to lead projects involving:

– analysis of molecular genetics and genomic data, including genome-wide genotype data, microarray-based expression datasets, whole exome sequencing, and full transcriptome sequencing (from bulk tissues and single cells)
– development and implementation of analytic pipelines for generating and analyzing multi-modal datasets
– collaboration with NIH scientists and other NIH collaborators
– compilation and analysis of new data from human and nonhuman primate samples
– preparation of manuscripts

Projects in this lab are focused on:

1) Neurodegenerative diseases – we study the molecular predictors and downstream impacts of neurodegenerative diseases to identify therapeutic targets
2) Sex effects on biology – we illuminate how sex-related traits (sex chromosomes, sex hormones) modulate brain health outcomes – comparative (evolutionary) variation
3) Comparative neuroscience – we compare human and nonhuman brains to better understand our evolutionary histories and the utility of different animal models

Qualifications:

PhD in evolutionary biology, neuroscience, genomics, computational biology, or a related discipline. Experience with bioinformatic analysis is preferred but not required.
