Human Anatomy Biomechanics Survey

Submitted 30/06/2025 by Gretchen Nemmers

My name is Gretchen Nemmers, and I am a PhD candidate in the Division of Anatomy at The Ohio State University. I am currently working on my dissertation examining the role of biomechanics in anatomy education. There is a scarcity of research studies that focus on the effects of biomechanics education on anatomy knowledge and self-efficacy. This research study will highlight the potential importance of training aspiring anatomists on certain biomechanics topics. Additionally, the results of this study will be shared with anatomy professionals to help inform anatomy curricula.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current state of biomechanics training, background, and teaching assignments in anatomy professionals. We are asking any of you who currently teach any form of human anatomy to participate and help.

Your participation is entirely voluntary. Potential participants' identities will not be known to the researchers. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete the consent form and survey linked above.
This survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me by email (nemmers.3@osu.edu).

Thank you for your time!
