Abstract submission for AABA 2027 has now closed. If you missed the deadline, please consider submitting your abstract to the Late-Breaking Research symposium (deadline January 30, 2027). - July 1, 2026: Deadline to volunteer for 2027 Program Committee
- July 15, 2026: Invited Symposium submission portal opens
- August 17, 2026: Deadline for Invited Symposium proposals
- September 17, 2026: Abstract submission portal opens
- October 15, 2026: Deadline for Abstract submissions and Student Award applications
- October 15, 2026: Committee nominations deadline:
- Chair, History & Honors Committee
- Chair, Student Programs Committee
- October 15, 2026: Workshop Proposal portal opens
- November 16, 2026: Deadline for Workshop Proposal submissions
- January 15, 2027: Deadline for Meeting Space Requests
- January 30, 2027: Deadline for Undergraduate Research Symposium abstract submissions
- January 30, 2027: Deadline for Late-Breaking Abstract submissions
February 15, 2027: Deadline for Student Volunteer applications.- All volunteer slots have been filled. No further applications will be accepted.
- April 2, 2027: Deadline for 2027 Academic Hooding Ceremony participants
Deadlines for 2027 prizes and awards:
- October 15, 2026: Nomination deadline for Darwin, Lasker, Midcareer, and AABA and Leakey Foundation Communication & Outreach Award in Honor of Camilla Smith Awards.
- October 15, 2026: Student Presentation Award application submissions due. You must fill out a form (available soon) to submit along with your abstract submission.
- December 4, 2026: Pollitzer Student Travel Award submissions (presentation not required to apply)
- January 5, 2027: Cobb Professional Development Award submissions
