NSF Bio Anthro welcomes rotator program director
The National Science Foundation, Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Robin Bernstein as a rotator Program Director for Biological Anthropology. After receiving her doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004, Dr. Bernstein served on the faculty at George Washington University. In 2013, she joined the University of Colorado Boulder, where she has served as an Associate Professor of Anthropology and as Faculty Director of Faculty Development. Dr. Bernstein has broad research interests including growth and development and endocrinology in humans and nonhuman primates. She has worked collaboratively to build faculty mentoring and professional development programming at Boulder and for the American Association of Biological Anthropologists. In addition to her appointment at NSF, Dr. Bernstein is currently a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for Global Health, Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Ferrell welcomes Dr. Bernstein and thanks Dr. Siobhán Mattison for her substantial contributions to the program over the past two years.
