The University of Akron: Assistant Professor in Biology
The Department of Biology at The University of Akron invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to carry out research in comparative or human anatomy. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree at the time of hire with the ability to teach an upper-level cadaver-based human anatomy course (with laboratory) for undergraduate biology majors and pre-professional students. Ideally, candidates will have post-doctoral research experience and the demonstrable potential to develop an externally-funded research program that contributes to the UA Integrative Biosciences PhD Program, including both graduate and undergraduate researchers. The ideal candidate will complement existing Departmental biomedical expertise and enhance the pre-med student experience. Preference will also be given to candidates with specific experience in teaching Human Anatomy.
