Lecturer
The Department of Anthropology at Hunter College of The City University of New York (https://hunter.cuny.edu/artsci/anthropology/) invites applications for a position at the rank of Lecturer to join a vibrant and forward-thinking faculty.This is a full-time appointment with a renewable contract and eligibility for a Certificate of Continuous Service.
We seek a lecturer to teach large introductory lectures in biological anthropology/human biology along with associated laboratory sections. The lecturer is responsible for lecturing, grading, and overseeing lab other instructors. Lectures and laboratory sections will be taught in-person at Hunter College’s 68th Street campus.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Also required are demonstrated teaching experience, scholarship and/orprofessionalachievement,and the ability to cooperate withothers for thegoodof theinstitution. Applicants must also have a commitment to work in multicultural and urban education settings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching introductory courses in biological anthropology and laboratory sections; supervising laboratory instructors; advising and mentoring students.
VACCINE REQUIREMENT
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
COMPENSATION
Salary commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience ($52,072 – $92,878).
