University of Toronto Scarborough Tenure stream appointment in Anthropology – Behavioural Primatology

Reference #1401703. The Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Scarborough invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in Behavioural Primatology. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2015 or shortly thereafter.

Candidates must have a PhD in Anthropology by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter. Those whose research includes active fieldwork on nonhuman primate behaviour as a primary component of their research program will be considered. Geographic area, species of interest, and topic of research focus are open. Candidates must also have a record of excellence in research in order to develop an independently funded research program, and must exhibit demonstrated excellence in teaching.

The appointment is at the University of Toronto Scarborough, which is a research-intensive institution with an interdisciplinary commitment, a multicultural student body, and a modern campus. In addition to teaching in the undergraduate program at the University of Toronto Scarborough, the successful candidate will be a member of the tri-campus Graduate Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto and expected to teach in its graduate programs and supervise graduate students. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
