Assistant Professor of Anthropology
We welcome applicants whose primary focus is on human macroevolution, with research interests in the study of human origins by comparison with extant nonhuman primates or extinct species. We seek a dynamic and broadly trained scholar committed to high quality research and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Geographical area of research is open, with preference given to scholars who will complement the department’s current strengths. The successful applicant should demonstrate the potential to contribute to an anticipated MA/MPH dual degree program in Anthropology and Public Health. The Department of Anthropology at UNC Charlotte emphasizes four-field training for its students, and offers B.A. and M.A. degrees in Anthropology with optional concentrations in Applied Anthropology at both levels.
