Assistant Professor-Biological Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology at Ball State University seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor of Anthropology with specialization in biological anthropology. Responsibilities include: Teaching introductory courses in biological anthropology, upper- division and graduate courses in primate behavior and ecology, and additional courses within the candidate’s focus area; mentoring graduate students; maintaining an active research agenda that result in peer-reviewed dissemination; and University and professional service. Minimum Qualifications: A biological anthropologist with a focus on primatology. Research specialties should include ecological conservation and environmental studies. Must hold a PhD in anthropology from an accredited college or university. Preferred Qualifications: An active research agenda, evidence of scholarly publication and/or presentations, experience teaching anthropology courses, commitment to applied research, and an interest in advancing student-centered field experiences. Will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other units of the university.

The Department of Anthropology is a dynamic teaching, learning, scholarly, and service unit located in the heart of Ball State’s campus.
