Population genetics and computational biology postdoc

The Goldberg lab is recruiting 1-2 postdocs to join when the lab starts at Duke University in January 2019.

Work in the Goldberg lab analyses modern and ancient genetic data from multiple species in the context of demographic, archeological, paleontological, and environmental records. We also have a strong interest in theory and methods development. Members of the lab will be participate in the large Duke community of evolutionary anthropology and genetics labs, and have the opportunities to work with collaborators in Sweden, Croatia, Mexico, and throughout the US.

Students and postdocs may work on a range of projects in evolutionary and human genetics, computational archeology, and human-environment interactions, including
**Human adaptation to malaria in the Americas
**Methods to combine genetic and archaeological data for inference
**Theoretical modeling of sexual selection and polygenic traits
**Computational modeling of population dynamics during climatic change
Other proposed research within the scope of lab interests is welcome.

The Goldberg lab combines theory and computational data analysis; interest in biological applications of programming, statistics, and/or mathematics is required.
