Assistant/Associate Professor, Faculty

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln has a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning August 2019. Area of specialization is Forensic Anthropology. The tenure-track candidate is expected to teach and research. The faculty member will be required to develop, manage and expand the Forensic Anthropology Program through curricular development and by establishing connections with other relevant departments and programs, including the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Laboratory at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
Minimum Required Qualifications

*Ph.D. degree in Anthropology or related field from an accredited institution is required.
*Ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the department and the institution.
*Candidate must have an active record of research and scholarship.
*Publication track record and ability to attract external funding commensurate with the level of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications

*An ability to adapt teaching in Biological and Forensic Anthropology, Human Gross Anatomy, Biometrics in Human Identification, Statistics, and basic Computer Programming to students in different undergraduate programs and to deliver information in a variety of formats.
*An ability to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote the academic discipline of anatomy at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies
*High professional and personal standards & knowledge of state regulations
