Postdoctoral Associate: Primate Morphological Integration

The Department of Anthropology, SUNY Buffalo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to join the Buffalo Human Evolutionary Morphology Laboratory (BHEML), under the supervision of Dr. Noreen von Cramon-Taubadel (PI). The position is funded via the NSF-sponsored project titled “An integrative analysis of the primate skeleton.” This project involves 3D structured light scanning of skeletal elements for large samples of anthropoid taxa, geometric morphometrics and integration analyses, and evolutionary modelling. Candidates with a strong background in comparative primate morphology, morphological integration and modularity, geometric morphometrics, and quantitative evolutionary methods are encouraged to apply. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in biological anthropology or a related field by the time of appointment. The position is available for one year with extension possible up to two years.
