The Department of Anthropology at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a nine-month tenure-earning Assistant Professor anticipated to begin August 2020.

A doctorate in Anthropology or closely related discipline with a specialization in Biological Anthropology from an accredited institution by time of hire is required. In addition, the successful applicant must have a research focus in an area of human osteology and a methodological specialization in quantitative methods.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a successful research program that includes peer-reviewed publications, evidence of external funding, and the ability to include graduate students in their research. Geographical research area is open. Successful candidates will also demonstrate an ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to human osteology and quantitative methods in anthropology.
