Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure track or fixed term
The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University (ECU) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Tenure track or fixed term appointment available. The new faculty member recruited to this position will contribute to and enhance the departmental education mission, primarily in human gross anatomy, with responsibility for teaching a variety of professional students. In addition, this new faculty member will contribute to departmental research and participate in training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
The rank and distribution of activities in teaching, research and service will depend upon the qualifications and previous teaching and research experience of the individual recruited to the position. The faculty member will have the opportunity for participation in collaborative intradepartmental and interdepartmental research activities. Appropriate professional service (i.e., serving on department, school, or university committees and/or task forces) is expected.
The applicant must have a Ph.D., D.Sc., or D.Phil. degree from an appropriately accredited institution in anatomy or a closely related field and significant experience, interest, and enthusiasm toward teaching in the basic human anatomical disciplines.
