Medical Anatomy Educator-Postdoctoral Fellow

The Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking applicants for a full-time educator at the rank of postdoctoral fellow. Applicants must have experience in, and enthusiasm for, teaching medical anatomy. The Department has a long and distinguished tradition of providing exceptional medical education and is internationally recognized for its outstanding research programs in Biological Anthropology and Neuroscience.

Washington University School of Medicine offers many exciting opportunities for career educators, including the Foundation in Teaching Skills program offered through the Office of Medical Education. It is expected that the applicant will significantly contribute to the instruction of medical anatomy within the School of Medicine. Candidates should have interest, and preferably experience in innovative educational content design and evidence-based instructional methods.

Applicants should have completed an advanced degree (PhD in Biological Anthropology or Neuroscience preferred) and have documented teaching experience in medical anatomy. Successful applicants are expected to become content experts in anatomy with the opportunity for further advancement in the new medical curriculum currently under development and instruction at Washington University School of Medicine.

The position is for one year initially with the opportunity for renewal based on performance. The position also offers an outstanding opportunity for the applicant to also be involved in research projects under the mentorship of our current faculty in biological anthropology or neuroscience.
