The Department of Anatomical Sciences at Stony Brook University School of Medicine invites applications for an Instructor position, with primary teaching responsibilities in human gross anatomy to healthcare professional students. Position will begin on or about August 23, 2021. This is a one year renewable appointment.

Applicants must have completed all requirements for the PhD, with the exception of submission of the final draft of their dissertation, in anatomy, evolutionary morphology, vertebrate morphology, systematics, physical anthropology or related fields by the application; and have completed a dissection-based course in human anatomy by the start date. Preference will be given to those who have taught in a dissection-based human anatomy course, and have an ongoing research program and record of publications related to the department’s current areas of research interest including functional and evolutionary morphology, comparative anatomy and phylogenetics.
