The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Rush University Medical Center invites applications for an open-rank faculty position as a Histology and Anatomy Educator. This 12-month, full-time, tenure-earning or tenured position will entail directing and teaching content in histology, cell biology, and gross anatomy to medical and other health profession students. Faculty are also expected to engage in university service activities and must demonstrate and maintain scholarly productivity related to either scholarship in medical education or biomedical sciences research. Individuals trained in the anatomical sciences who are interested in pursuing a career primarily devoted to teaching are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a field related to the anatomical sciences (e.g., histology, cell biology, anatomy) and have preferably 2+ years of teaching experience in higher education. Experience with virtual microscopy, cadaveric dissection, various educational pedagogies, assessment/evaluation strategies, and curriculum design are a plus. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with education and experience.
