The Department of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for Lecturer in Biological Anthropology on a one year, fixed-term contract for 2022-2023 academic year with the option to renew for a second year. This is a non-tenure-eligible appointment with full benefits. The successful candidate will teach four sections a semester, including a four-field introduction to anthropology, an introductory course in biological anthropology, and an upper-level course in human origins. Geographic areas of interest are open. Demonstrated excellence in teaching both small and large classrooms is required. Ability to teach an upper-level course in primatology is preferred. PhD in Anthropology by time of appointment. ABD will be considered; however, applicants who are ABD for the terminal degree at time of application must successfully defend by July 2022.
