The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Anthropology, effective Fall 2023. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong commitment to excellent teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Teaching load is 3 classes in Fall and Spring and 1 course in January term. We will consider candidates with a wide range of specializations within Biological Anthropology. Forensic Anthropology or Medical Anthropology are preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program while teaching and be prepared to instruct introductory anthropology courses, forensics, paleopathology, general biological anthropology, as well as advanced courses in their area of interest. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to partner with interdisciplinary programs across campus. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in anthropology completed by the effective starting date of employment.
