Assistant Professor in Biological Anthropology

Tenure track faculty position available August 19, 2016. Responsibilities: teach courses relevant to research area and a range of undergraduate and graduate biological anthropology courses, guidance of graduate student M.A. theses, research, and service. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in anthropology by August 19, 2016 with a specialization in biological anthropology focusing on human health, nutrition, and the environment, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and active research and publishing; demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. Preferred qualifications: experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: human nutritional ecology, gender and health, providing applied, student-centered field experiences in the local community; history of grant development; research interests complementing those of the other members of the department, allowing for collaborative projects. Collaboration with faculty of the university’s new College of Health would also be encouraged.
