Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Colorado State University

Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2016. We are seeking an outstanding leader with the vision and abilities to lead the largest and most diverse college in the university.

The Dean is the principal administrative and academic officer of the College and is responsible for managing academic programs, implementing policies, managing personnel and financial resources, maintaining quality academic programs, securing support for the College, stimulating funded research, and providing leadership for fundraising goals. The College includes Departments of Anthropology; Art and Art History; Communication Studies; Economics; English; Ethnic Studies; History; Journalism and Media Communication; Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; Philosophy; Political Science; and Sociology. It also includes the School of Music, Theater, and Dance; interdisciplinary majors in Liberal Arts and International Studies; multiple masters programs, including an interdisciplinary masters program in Arts Leadership and Administration; and Ph.D. programs in Economics, Journalism, Political Science and Sociology, with additional programs at various stages of approval. Colorado State University is a Carnegie Doctoral/Research‐Extensive land‐grant institution enrolling approximately 27,000 students, located in Fort Collins, which is 60 miles north of Denver at the base of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
