Assistant Professor in comparative or human anatomy

The Department of Biology at The University of Akron invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to carry out research in comparative or human anatomy. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree at the time of hire with the ability to teach anatomy at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Ideally, candidates will have post-doctoral research experience and the demonstrable potential to develop an externally-funded research program that contributes to the UA Integrative Biosciences PhD Program. The ideal candidate will complement existing Departmental biomedical expertise and enhance the premed student experience. Preference will also be given to candidates with specific experience in teaching Human Anatomy and Comparative Anatomy. Teaching responsibilities include teaching an upper level Human Anatomy course with laboratory for biology majors and pre-professional students, and other courses as directed.
