I am happy to share that the Department of Anthropology at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is inviting applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning September 1, 2027. One position is in Biological Anthropology with a Forensic Anthropology focus, and the second is in Archaeology.

UTRGV is a Hispanic-Serving Institution located in a bilingual and bicultural region. The Department of Anthropology values candidates who can contribute to field, laboratory, and community-engaged opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, particularly in forensic anthropology work related to human identification in South Texas and the U.S.-Mexico border region.
