The Forensic Science Instructor will work collaboratively with the Forensic Science Director, with internal and external stakeholders and provide curriculum and instruction in the Forensic Science Program. The instructor will also supervise instruction and research activity within the forensic chemistry and forensic biology labs.

The expertise for the Instructor in the Forensic Science Master's Program will complement that of the Program Director. We are in the process of hiring the Program Director who is a Forensic Chemist. Therefore, the Instructor should have an expertise in Forensic Biology.

Typical Qualifications

The successful candidate should have an earned Master's or Doctorate degree appropriate to a forensic science program, preferably in biology or forensic biology.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the forensic sciences, using PCR and DNA sequencing instrumentation, lab management and/ or teaching experience. The successful candidate should also have expertise with and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusivity issues in higher education.

Due to year-round needs, this is a 12-month appointment.
