Forensic Anthropology Training Courses at Washburn – Summer 2020

The Washburn University Forensic Anthropology Program is offering a series of 2020 forensic anthropology summer short courses at the WU/KBI Forensic Science Center in Topeka, KS. The courses vary in length, have no pre-requisites, and do not require enrollment through the university. All courses are intensive, hands-on, and utilize real skeletal collections/casework and state-of-the-art equipment/techniques. Courses are open to anyone 18 years and older.

1. Human Osteology Course (June 15-19, 2020) $650
ABMDI approved for 35 hours & for 38.5 hours MO POST continuing education hours

2. Human Skeletal Biology: Estimating the Biological Profile (June 22-26, 2020) $650

Submitted for ABMDI & MO POST continuing education credits (pending approval)

3. Skeletal Trauma Analysis (June 29 – July 1, 2020) $350
ABMDI & MO POST approved for 20 hours continuing education credit

4. Fatal Fire Recoveries (July 27-July 31, 2020) $650
Previously approved for 35.5 hours of ABMDI and 35.5 hours of MO POST Continuing Education Hours in 2019. Courses have
been re-submitted and are pending approval for 2020.
